Common threads
Startup hours ask for everything you have. Whatever is waiting on the other side of the day, a partner, a family, friends, or just your own evening, gets what is left over.
You get the hours and wake up unrestored. That is usually a nervous system still in gear rather than a sleep problem.
By the end of the day there is none left, and it shows wherever you land, with the people closest to you or with yourself. It is not who you are; it is what is left after everything else.
None of this means something is wrong with you. It means your nervous system has been doing its job for a long time without a break.
The work
We gently work with the experiences your body still carries, at a pace that you can handle.
You're not a list of problems to fix. We build on the resilience that's already gotten you this far.
You'll learn to recognize and settle the anxiety, over-alertness, and shutdown underneath the overthinking.
Together we practice saying no, asking for what you need, and letting other people carry their own feelings.
We name the relational loops you keep landing in, so you can finally choose something different.
Together we identify coping strategies that actually work for you, and find ways to put them to use in your life.
Practical details
By video, a session costs you the hour and nothing else, no drive to Provo or Salt Lake, no explaining a long absence to anyone at work.
I'm licensed in Utah as a LCSW, and every session happens by secure video. I don't keep an office in Lehi or anywhere else. The one rule that matters is location: you need to be physically in Utah when we meet, because that's where my license lets me practice.
Fees & insurance
I'm in-network with Aetna, Optum, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford, Blue Cross Blue Shield for Utah clients, so if you carry one of those plans your sessions may be largely covered. We verify your benefits together before we begin, so you'll know what sessions will cost.
Prefer to keep insurance out of it? Private pay means your care stays between us, with no diagnosis required for a third party. Out-of-network benefits may still apply, and I can provide a superbill on request.
About
I'm Ashley, a licensed trauma therapist working by telehealth with clients in Utah and two other states. I see high-functioning people who are quietly exhausted from holding it all together, warmly and at your pace, building on what's already strong in you.
More about meQuestions
Tell me what your week actually looks like when you reach out and we will see what fits. Nothing is promised in advance, availability changes, but a video session asks only for the hour itself, not the drive on either side of it.
We meet by secure, HIPAA-compliant video at a scheduled time, just as we would in an office, only you join from wherever you feel most comfortable and private. You get a link, click it at your appointment time, and we talk. Most people find it feels natural within the first few minutes.
Yes. Research consistently finds that virtual therapy is comparable to in-person care for anxiety, depression, and trauma. For many people it is actually easier to open up from their own space, and removing the commute makes it far more sustainable to keep going.
Yes. Sessions are held over secure, HIPAA-compliant video. I ask that you join from a private space where you won't be overheard, and I treat everything we discuss with the same confidentiality as in-person care.
It depends on your state. In Maryland I'm in-network with Aetna, Optum, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford. In Utah I'm in-network with Aetna, Optum, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you're using insurance we can verify your benefits together, so you'll know what sessions will cost. If you're paying out of pocket, you can check with your insurer before we get started to get an idea of what they'll cover. In Virginia I work on a private-pay basis and can provide a superbill you submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
My fee is $145 for a 50-minute session, and the first 15-minute consultation is free. If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill on request.
